The Executive Board consists of four positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. This board presides over the entirety of the cabinet and oversees day-to-day operations of the organization. Our focus as a board is to ensure our cabinet can provide our general members with the best experience possible.

Hey everyone!
My name is Jessica Zabat (she/her/hers), I am a 4th year Psychology major with a minor in Sociology, and I am so proud to be serving as your Vice President for this school year!
A bit about my hxtory in Akbayan ~ I first got picked up in Fall 2021 by my amazing Ate Xandria in Legendary Fam (#LoveLine ALWAYS). The following year in Fall 2022, I became a Masaya Intern and had the opportunity to learn more about myself, personally, culturally, and in leadership roles as well. At the same time in the fall, I participated in Friendship Games in the Roll Call aspect! Then, in Spring 2023, I picked up my firstborn, Ading Erika, and my second-born, Ading Audrey, in Fall 2023! Last year, I also served as ½ of the Public Relations Officers for SOL 47 and was on KOREagatan as a PR Manager. I kept coming back because of how much this community gave me!
Some little things about me… I am very much a creative, artsy type of person! Recently, I’ve loved cooking for my family and I’ve also always loved singing and dancing. My name Danielle Fortez (she/her), I am a 3rd year criminology major with a minor in Forensic Science. I’m also in ALOHA fam, and I am proud to announce that I will be serving as your Secretary for this academic year.
I had first joined Akbayan in Spring 2022. My first few steps in joining this community was joining KAAMP Mahika in Spring 2022 where I was picked up by my lovely Ate Kylene! Going in completely blind I didn’t really know what to expect. I only had intentions of making new connections and friends, which I did! I made so many beautiful friendships, a lot more than I had expected actually. Intrigued by what Akbayan had to offer, I joined Internship my second year. I was deeply interested in gaining more connections, build my leadership skills and learn more about who I am and about my culture. My time in Internship was definitely a journey and what had jump started my interest into being more involved with this organization. Which then led to me joining PCN 36, and running for cabinet, and now I’m here! This community has welcomed me with such open arms and has opened my eyes to so many beautiful experiences and opportunities that I never knew I could discover. I encourage anyone if you’re just a little bit interested to join and take those first few steps, because you never know where those few steps could take you.
A little bit about me though! I’m very heavily family oriented and relationship oriented. I care deeply and love the connections I make with other people and cherish every memory I make with others around me. I also love cats, I have a 2 year old russian blue name Tubby. She’s my absolute pride and joy. I want to get another get and get tubby a friend to hang out with. I also LOVE dancing, I’ve been dancing for over 7 years now. Fun Fact, I started dancing by making kpop covers on instagram! I’m truly excited to get to know all of y’all, and excited to see you find your moment within Akbayan .
